ABBEY O'BRIEN BARROWS Storyteller

I am an award-winning, multimedia storyteller. I conduct interviews and write for a variety of print and electronic media on a daily basis. I also have extensive experience shooting video and writing scripts for video-based, feature stories.

I am currently a public relations specialist at Kennesaw State University and am a former television news reporter, anchor and producer. I have the skills to develop content and tell impactful stories on multiple platforms as well as the ability to work under deadline pressure in a fast-paced environment. I have experience telling soft news features, hard news features and everything in between. I take pride in wearing many different “multimedia hats” and being a team player.

My stories have been recognized by the South Carolina Broadcasters Association, NATAS Southeastern EMMYS, Society of Professional Journalists and RTDNAC.

I have a master's degree in Journalism and Media Studies from the University of Alabama and my bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of South Carolina Honors College.
